 Community Music Programs

Music has the amazing ability to bring people of all ages, backgrounds and ability levels together in the spirit of joy, harmony and empowerment.

Group music-making is a rich experience that is implicitly social, fun, expressive, creative and empowering. These community music programs are designed to give you experiences of music and music-making in a way that is enjoyable and accessible to everyone regardless of musical expertise, and bring you in touch with a world of benefits on a physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual level.

Drumming for Wellness Programs

Whether it be a community event, retreat or gathering, Rhythmosis can design a rhythm-based program to give participants immediate access to the wellness benefits of group music-making without needing to learn an instrument. These programs are tailored to meet the objectives of your event and are designed to bring about a sense of joy, empowerment and connection through rhythm.

Drumming for wellness

"Bek Wermut was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was  involved with our one day wellness workshops on a regular basis. She was a wonderful and inspiring teacher. Her drumming circle was a joy to attend and experience. She held the room of over 30 women with ease and many of the attendees commented on how much they had enjoyed the experience and in particular Bek's nurturing supportive energy. I cannot recommend Bek enough. I feel she is a very talented, enthusiastic, creative and caring individual that would be a gift to any organisation."

School Drumming Programs

Rhythmosis offers rhythm programs to children in preschool, primary school and high school. These programs are unique in that that the focus is not on music skill development, but rather, use hand-drumming and percussion activities to nurture students’ social, emotional and creative development.

Through rhythm games and activities, students will develop important social skills such as turn-taking, cooperation and listening as well as build self-esteem, leadership skills,

foster creativity and self-expression, and connect with each other in a positive way.

Unlike a music learning class where there are right and wrong notes and better or worse players, these classes are non-competitive, all-inclusive and there are no wrong notes. Activities are designed to be fun, easy and create successes. Children’s’ diverse and unique personalities are celebrated so that each child can feel comfortable in just being themselves.

"The classroom drum circle that Bek facilitated for my class was the perfect multi-sensory experience for all of my year five students. Not only did they find a natural rhythm through improvisation, but they were also able to connect with each other via music, creating a deeper sense of community".

"The music just flows so beautifully from one instrument to the other creating the perfect space to unwind, relax and re-energise.  The perfect harmony that they create allows my body to easily take over to heal and sooth my soul."
