 Rhythm2Recovery

The R2R model combines rhythmic music, movement and voice with cognitive reflection, and draws on influences from CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Positive Psychology.

"The Rhythm2Recovery program uses a combination of rhythm and reflection to engage participants in a way that transcends language, creates a safe therapeutic environment and addresses key issues that impact quality of life."

Simon Faulkner, R2R Program Developer

Rhythm2Recovery

Bek is a teacher trainer and facilitator of the Rhythm2Recovery model, designed by Simon Faulkner, developer of the Holyoake DRUMBEAT program.

The program is totally adaptable to suit various population groups and combines the proven benefits of group drumming (read more) with specific drumming activities that are designed to explore life-skill themes and initiate discussion. The model has a focus on personal strengths, positive relationship skills, inner resources, self-responsibility, mindful awareness, positive values and is solution-focused.

The teacher training program is suitable for teachers, therapists, youth workers, social workers, mental health workers, facilitators or any professional looking to incorporate therapeutic drumming into their work.
