"Bek was enthusiastic, passionate, welcoming and made everyone feel at ease. With Bek's incredible leadership, she was able to bring out the best in everyone. To let down their guards and work as a team. Together, we did some impressive jamming!"

Workplace Drumming Programs

Whether your workplace is a corporate, educational, social service or health-care setting, drumming is a great way to build staff relationships, cameraderie, co-operation and collaboration, build creativity, decrease stress and workplace burnout, help with change management and conflict resolution and add an element of fun and playfulness into your workplace.

In a Rhythmosis Workplace Drumming Session:

  • All sessions are configured in a circular formation. This way, participants can see one another, there is no audience, no performers, and all participants have equal value in the circle.

  • All sessions are improvised – although basic drumming technique is taught, the main body of any session is about in-the-moment group music-making.  Improvised music making on drums and percussion by people with any level of musical expertise including no experience at all is made possible by the fact that we all have an innate sense of rhythm, coupled with the guidance of a facilitator whose job it is to guide the group towards its potential in a way that is fun, easy and safe. It is in the co-creative process of group improvisation that many of the benefits of group drumming lie, such as developing social cohesion and connection, creativity, self-expression, self-esteem, self-awareness and personal development.

  • All sessions include lots of fun percussion instruments as well as drums – this allows groups to incorporate a variety of different sounds and elements into the music they create, ensuring a rich and multi-dimensional sound, and more opportunities for creativity, choice and interest.

  • Small groups - groups are generally limited to a maximum of 30 people. This means everyone can sit in a single circle, make eye contact with all other participants and be seen and heard for the unique contribution they offer.
